Abstract:
British India represented one of Britain's colonial links with India and East Africa. They maintained regular line service to East Africa and to India, and various local services in the Middle and Far East and along the African Coast. In the 1960's to 1980's, they were also well known for their Educational Cruises combining cabin class accommodation for ordinary passengers and the equivalent of dormitory space for school students. The ships in the collection, from all services, include the following:
